The Slow Food Project

The Slow Food Project
__
Our busy schedules have inevitably resulted in a preference to eat out for convenience sake over cooking at home. With the cheap and radiately available food at fast food restaurants and eateries everywhere it encourages us to eat out even more often. In fact, some families rarely cooked anymore. Eating takes out save the trouble of preparation and cleaning up. However, the experience and joy of cooking and sharing a proper nutritious meal is lost.

On the other hand, there is Slow Food where people are encouraged to enjoy the experience of food, from preparation to the consumption of food. Food should be an experience to be enjoyed and not rushes through. It encourages people to take the time to eat more slowly and to eat wisely.

The objective of The Slow Food Project is to reconnect with the food and take time out to prepare my own meals and to share it with family or friends if possible. For 4 weeks, 3 times a week, I decided to prepare my own lunch and document my food through illustration.
